The fire to fight for freedom didn’t begin with me , it runs deep through my bloodline. I am the daughter of a Warrior. A Romanian Champion. A man who defied tyranny to protect his family and their faith. A man who risked it all for freedom.
Before the fight for liberty ever began, my father was already a fighter in every sense. He was a ten-year championship boxer, fierce, disciplined, and respected throughout Romania. That’s how he met my mother. She fell in love with more than just a man of strength, she saw his heart, his courage, and his willingness to fight for what was right.
But in the shadows of Nicolae Ceaușescu’s brutal communist regime, no amount of titles could protect you from persecution, especially if you were a person of Faith. The government outlawed faith, demolished churches, and unleashed secret police to spy, torture, and silence its own people. Being a man of faith in that era wasn’t just brave, it was dangerous.
After a daring escape from Romania, he finally made it to Germany, where he boldly petitioned President Jimmy Carter for refugee status. His courage paid off and in 1976, he was granted entry to the United States, the land of freedom he had risked everything to reach.
But the price of freedom was steep. My mother was left behind in Romania, raising six children on her own while under constant government surveillance. She endured unthinkable hardship, a woman of relentless faith, holding the family together while her husband fought to pave a path to freedom.
It wasn’t until 1978 that we were reunited as a family. I was two years old the first time I met my father. My mother had carried the weight of the world, and my father had missed so many firsts. But we were finally whole and we were finally free.
My dad worked tirelessly as a mechanic to support all 12 of his children on a single income. He never complained. He never gave up. He taught us how to fight, not just with fists, but with conviction, work ethic, honor, and purpose.
In 1984, he proudly became a U.S. Citizen under the Reagan Administration.
I fight now because he fought then.
I fight for the freedoms he sacrificed everything to give us. I fight because I refuse to watch America fall into the same kind of government control and judicial abuse that we fled from. I fight for every American family feeling crushed under the weight of corruption, for every parent being pushed out of their child’s life, for every CITIZEN being silenced, stolen from, or stripped of justice.
Our children do not belong to the government, they belong to us, the parents.
I’m fighting for you. For your rights. For your future. I am your voice. And I am your choice.
This spirit of resistance, of strength, of sacrifice,it’s in my blood.
And I will never stop fighting.
